Welcome to our farm!

Have you ever wondered why we call our Artisan Market the Buffalo Moon? The name carries a story deeply rooted in the history of our farm.

Many locals fondly refer to our farm as the "Old Buffalo Farm." Over 30 years ago, long before it became Lakota's Farm, this farm was known as the Buffalo Sunrise Ranch-a place where majestic Bison once roamed our pastures.

These magnificent creatures symbolize of the strength and spirit of this land. When we began our Artisan Markets, it felt only natural to incorporate "Buffalo" into the name. It connects us to our roots, grounding us in the heritage of this farm.

"Buffalo" isn't just a nod to the past—it's a bridge to the present, reminding us of the legacy we carry forward. We’re excited to share the significance behind the Buffalo Moon name and what it truly means to us.

Help us celebrate the Harvest Moon at the Buffalo Moon Fall Artisan Market! This event is more than just a market; it’s a tribute to the history of our farm and the beauty of the Full Fall Harvest Moon.

Named after the legendary "Old Buffalo Farm," the Buffalo Moon reflects our deep connection to the land and its storied past.

The Harvest Moon, sometimes known as the 'Corn Moon,' is the full moon closest to the Autumn Equinox, marking a time of abundance, gratitude, and reflection. It's symbolic of new beginnings, a time when the earth's bounty is gathered, and we give thanks for all that we have.

Join us as we honor these traditions and the rich heritage of Lakota's Farm.
